MAPEI Mapelastic Smart is a flexible, two-component cementitious waterproofing system for bathrooms, showers, balconies, terraces and swimming pools. Once its powder and liquid components are combined, the mixture can be applied to prepared horizontal and vertical surfaces using a brush, roller, trowel or suitable spray equipment.
Components are sold separately on this page. Select Component A powder in a 20kg bag or Component B liquid in a 10kg container. Each selection supplies the chosen component only. The manufacturer specifies both components together in a 2:1 ratio by weight; one full bag and one full container make a 30kg batch. Neither component is a complete waterproofing membrane on its own.
Mixed colour: grey.
Finish: suitable beneath compatible ceramic, mosaic and natural stone coverings.
Application: at least two even coats, with detailing and reinforcement selected for the project.
Check the Australian technical data sheet for priming, required film thickness and curing before tiling, flood testing or immersion. Preparation and site conditions affect consumption and drying.
