Gripset 38FC 15L is a fast-curing waterproofing membrane for wet areas that will be covered with tiles, screeds or other approved finishes. Its water-based SBR latex formulation contains reinforcing fibres and forms a flexible barrier for residential and commercial projects.
Where to use it
Use in bathrooms, laundries and other tiled wet areas, or beneath protective finishes on balconies, decks, podiums and terraces. Suitable prepared substrates include concrete, render, masonry, fibre cement and specified wet-area timber sheeting.
Application and coverage
15L pail; the membrane is blue when wet and dry.
Prime before application: Gripset GP for porous surfaces or Gripset OP for non-porous surfaces. Refer to the data sheet for other substrate conditions.
Apply at least two coats using a total minimum of 1.5L/m², achieving a minimum 1mm dry film.
One 15L pail covers approximately 10m² for the complete two-coat system; rough or porous surfaces can increase consumption.
At 23°C and 50% relative humidity, allow approximately 1 hour between coats, 4 hours before tiling and 24 hours before flood testing. Cooler or more humid conditions extend these times. Protect with an approved finish; this membrane is not a trafficable or permanently exposed surface.
